Common questions

How do I play?
Listen to the bird’s call, then hold a finger on the Squawk-o-Scope and slide up and down to trace the same rise and fall. Let go between notes, because the gaps count too. Your first game starts with a short practice round with no stakes, and you can repeat it as often as you like.
Do I have to sing out loud?
No. Mega Squawk never uses your microphone. You trace each song with your finger, and your bird does the singing.
How is my answer scored?
Song match is a score from 0 to 100: half for pitch (how close you were), a quarter for arc (whether you rose and fell in the right places), and a quarter for rhythm (whether you sang at the right moments). Berries and streaks never change it.
How do I beat the rival?
From level 4, a rival answers the same call straight after you. Beat his score to make progress; a draw moves neither heart. If his heart fills first, she flies off with him and the level starts again. A tip: hold only while a note is sounding, because holding straight through a call answers it badly.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Mega Squawk plays offline. It has no ads, accounts, or in-app purchases.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device, and nowhere else. Deleting the app also deletes your progress, trophies, and settings.
